Deutsch: 06.03.2019 04769 Sornzig (Sornzig-Ablaß): Ehemaliges Zisterzienserinnenkloster St. Marienthal, Klosterstraße 16 (GMP: 51.212854,13.016662), als Nonnenkloster 1241 gegründet. Das Kloster ging 1539 mit der Einführung der Reformation unter. Die letzten Nonnen mussten 1544 Sornzig verlassen, während aus den Klosterhof ein Klostergut genannter Landwirtschaftsbetrieb gebildet wurde. 1616 brannten die mittelalterlichen Klostergebäude ab. Das Klostergut war zeitweilig im Besitz des letzten Bischofs von Meißen und gehörte später der Adelsfamilie von Burkersroda. Im Gefolge der Bodenreform wurde daraus 1946 ein Volkseigenes Gut, das 1952 mit dem Volksgut Mügeln vereinigt und 1991 aufgelöst wurde. 1996 reprivatisiert. Sicht Südwesten.
