Description
Deutsch: Kath. Pfarrkirche Unsere Liebe Frau in Bamberg (Obere Pfarre). Blick auf den Chor mit Hauptaltar, Hochaltar und die Seitenaltäre vor den Pfeilern des Chorbogens. Der Hauptaltar aus Sandstein wurde zusammen mit dem Ambo 1981 von Friedrich Koller geschaffen. Der Hochaltar von 1714 gilt als eine Stiftung des Fürstbischofs Lothar Franz von Schönborn. Die Gestaltung ist ein Gemeinschaftswerk von Bamberger Handwerkern und Künstlern. Der hohe, mächtige Altaraufbau schließt den Chor ab. Die Mitte des Altares nimmt eine sitzende Muttergottes mit Kind ein, das einen Vogel in der Hand hält (Köln, um 1300). Es ist das Gnadenbild der Kirche. In der gleichen Zeit wie der Hochaltar sind die beiden Barockretabel entstanden. Gemälde links: „Schlüsselübergabe an Petrus“. Gemälde rechts: „Mariä Himmelfahrt“.
