Description
English: Presentation of four reliquary busts on top of the choir stairs of the Basilica of Our Lady in Maastricht, Netherlands. This is part of a church service in which the main relics of the church are venerated. It is one of the highlights of the 2018 Heiligdomsvaart ("relics pilgrimage"), a religious and historic event that takes place once in seven years and dates back to the Middle Ages. The reliquary busts presented here are of four bishops of Maastricht: Saint Servatius, Saint Monulph, Saint Gondulph and Saint Hubert.
