Summary
[edit]Description20180531 Maastricht Heiligdomsvaart 39.jpg |
English: Listening to a carillon concert in the cloister yard of the Basilica of Saint Servatius in Maastricht, Netherlands. The concert was one of many activities during the 2018 Heiligdomsvaart ("Relics Pilgrimage"). It was also the last concert organized by Stichting Carillons Maastricht.
The history of the seven-yearly Heiligdomsvaart goes back to the Middle Ages. The first 'modern' version of this ten-day catholic pilgrimage took place in 1874. The 2018 Heiligdomsvaart was the 55th modern edition. |
