O Mensch, halt still u. hör mir zu
Wanderst Du ohne Rast und Ruh
mit schwerem Herz und betrübtem Sinn
durch dein erbärmliches Dasein hin –
sieh dich um, wie schön ist doch Gottes Natur.
Wie rauscht der Wald, wie blüht die Flur.
Wie singen die Vöglein so wunderschön
und Gottes Hauch weht über Täler und Höhn
liegst du einst im Sterben erkennst du klar
wie nichtig dein Sorgen und Kümern einst war
dann würdest du wünschen u. würdest du loben
würdest du immer gewesen wie die Vögel
beim Jagabaum droben.
