Shenandoah National Park's 2017 Night Sky Festival took place from Friday, August 18 to Monday, August 21. Activities included constellation tours, solar scope viewing, Junior Ranger programs, and more! The festival celebrates dark night skies and the science that helps us understand the universe beyond our planet Earth.

This evening program took place on Saturday, August 19 at the Big Meadows Amphitheater. NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Solar System Ambassador Greg Redfern is giving the program about the lives of stars.
