Description
English: Ledger stone of 1639 in one of the south chapels of Kruisherenkerk (now Kruisherenhotel) in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The Gothic church and monastery of the Croziers (or Crutched Friars) dates from the 15th century and was converted into a luxury hotel in 2003-05. The 17th-century ledger stone belonged to Lysbeth Coenegracht, widow of Herman Jekermans. Size: 170 × 85 cms. The inscription reads: Hier ligt begraven / Lysbyet Connegracht / die Weduwve Herman / ieckermans sterf Ao / 1639 den 19 meert. Bidt voer de Zielen. Van Nispen tot Sevenaer (1926/1974), p. 253.
