English: On the night following the Placing of the Holy Relics of Shakyamuni Buddhist into the Stupa of the Sri Bodhirukkharama Buddhist Temple in Handapangoda, Sri Lanka, the Moon shone and lit up the pinnacle of the Stupa, attesting to the virtue and merits so accrued by this meritorious act. Rev. Unapana Ariyadhamma Thero, Director General of the Temple, and Ven. Sakya M. Longyen, Founder and Owner of the Avatamsaka Monastery of Canada in Vancouver BC, were the two Bhikkhu who officiated at the ceremony to mark the Opening of the New Dharma Hall built under the auspices and at the location of the Arogya Foundation for the Disabled. Rev. Unapana Ariyadhamma Thero represents the Theravada Buddhist tradition and Ven. Sakya M. Longyen represents the Mahayana Avatamsaka School of Chinese Buddhism, Jodo Shinshu of the Nishihongwanjiha of the Vancouver Buddhist Church, as well as the Mahayana Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Way of the Lakulish International Fellowship Enlightenment Mission of Gujurat India.
