The one holding the bowl is my uncle, Tiu Miguel, he is the eldest son of the ritual power clan.... The betel leaf symbolize the green, the fertility value, the prosperity, while the water symbolizes the cold, the peaceful condition, the calm, the quiet, tranquility. So the green (matak, malus) and the malirin (cold, water) means prosperity in a peaceful society. This is the objective of our society and our existence... . |
