English: The Landis Valley Museum is a living history museum located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It collects, conserves, exhibits, and interprets Pennsylvania German material, culture, history and heritage from 1740 through 1940. The museum was founded by the Landis brothers--Henry K. Landis and George Landis. Building 13, the Landis Brothers House and Stable, was built in two parts, the front c.1879 and the rear in 1890. The stable was the museum's location from 1925-39. The outhouse is located outside the stable. |
