Summary
[edit]Description2014-04-06 Boletellus deceptivus Halling & Fechner 413601.jpg |
Boletellus deceptivus Hallling & Fechner Image location: Minyon Falls, New South Wales, Australia There were lots of these shaggy boletes growing near the top of Minyon Falls, where it is a wet sclerophyll forest. I couldn’t identify this purple species though it is similar (except the colour) to Boletellus ananaeceps. Recognized by sight: Moderately scaly pileus with some whitish in the scales. Stipe is usually white although some pale red may sneak in. Name is in press at the moment – still waiting for official publication in Austral. Syst. Bot. later this year.
