Gregory Gadson (to his left) plays as a double amputee during a visit to the Army's Warrior Games in Colorado Springs, Colo., May 1. Gadson lost his legs in 2007 in Iraq where he served as a battalion commander. Gadson is still on active duty and is set to take command of Ft. Belvoir in July 2012. Wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans from the Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and Special Operations Command compete in track and field, shooting, swimming, cycling, archery, wheelchair basketball and sitting volleyball during the 2012 Warrior Games. |
