English: BURNHAM HOARD 2010 T509: Item A.23 Socketed Axe; Plainseau Incomplete cast copper alloy socketed axehead. Broken on one side and face and below the loop. Casting seam. Prominent upper mouth moulding with lower moulding. Side loop extends from lower mouth moulding. Ring decoration visible with the break on the body running along it. Length: 40.13mm. Weight: 25.66grams. Loop: 22.78mm long, 4.75mm wide; located 13.93mm from mouth opening. Body (Broken): 8.57mm wide by 15.50mm thick. |
