English: BURNHAM HOARD 2010 T509: Item A.15 Socketed Axe; South Eastern - undiagnostic fragment Incomplete cast copper alloy socketed axehead. It has been deliberately broken at both ends. The body has a rectangular cross section. Casting seams have not been completely smoothed. A fragment of an undiagnostic copper alloy artefact has been inserted into the socket. Length: 47.41mm. Weight: 83.14grams. Body: 30.12 tapering to 24.70mm, width 14.12 to by 18.65mm Socket: 16.16mm by 11.24mm and 22.71mm by 4.25mm |
