Deutsch: Dresden Hauptbahnhof: Rheingold war der Name eines Luxuszuges der Deutschen Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft und eines Trans-Europ-Express der Deutschen Bundesbahn
Die Deutsche Bundesbahn führte den Zuglauf nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg 1951 als Fernzug (F) wieder ein. Ab 1962 brachte die DB erneut eigens für den Rheingold entworfene Wagen zum Einsatz, darunter Aussichtswagen im Stile amerikanischer „Dome Cars“, und stufte ihn 1965 zum TEE hoch. Verschiedene für den Rheingold beschaffte Wagen sind als Denkmale erhalten geblieben und werden für Sonderfahrten und museale Zwecke eingesetzt. Technisches Denkmal der Verkehrsgeschichte. |
