Deutsch: 12.04.2009 04758 Oschatz: Aegidienkirche (GMP: 51.297626,13.107804). Das Gotteshaus geht auf einen gotischen Vorgängerbau zurück, der in der Mitte des 15. Jh. begonnen wurde. 1464 wurde der Grundstein für den spätgotischen Chor gelegt. 1842 ausgebrannt. Den Wiederaufbau von 1846 bis 1849 leitete der Carl Alexander Heideloff. Heideloff entwarf neue Maßwerkfenster, Portale und Gewölbe und bekrönte die Türme mit schlanken Maßwerkhelmen. In der einheitlichen Gestaltung, die sich auf süddeutsche Vorbilder des 14. und 15. Jahrhunderts bezieht, ist die Aegidienkirche ein frühes Beispiel für die Wiederentdeckung und stilgetreue Wiederholung mittelalterlicher Baukunst. Kanzel und Altar entwarf Heideloff selbst.
