Description

Leerstehendes Lagerhaus im Industriehafen.

Am Stadthafen legen die Fährschiffe nach Hiddensee und Altefähr sowie zu diversen Hafenrundfahrten an. Der Hafen ist im Sommer auch Liegeplatz für Flusskreuzfahrtschiffe. In den Jachthäfen und Marinas im altstadtnahen Bereich ankern auch die Skipper mit ihren Segelbooten. Auch entlang der Nordmole machen im Sommer oft hunderte Jachten und Segelboote fest. Das »Lotsenhaus« und die Hafenspeicher sowie die Silhouette der Altstadt bieten einen ansprechenden Kontrast zur Aussicht auf die Inseln Rügen und Hiddensee. Eine weitere touristische Attraktiion liegt mit der Bark »Gorch Fock« im Hafen. Ein weiteres Highlight ist das am 11. Juli 2008 eröffnete Meeresmuseum »Ozeaneum«.

Natürlich gibt es hier auch weniger schöne »Hafenansichten«, wie leer stehende, runtergekommene Gebäude, ganz einfach wie in jedem anderen Hafengebiet einer Stadt auch. Gehört aber einfach auch dazu.
