Deutsch: 25.05.2008 04860 Torgau, Wintergrüne/Pfarrstraße: Stadtkirche St. Marien (GMP: 51.560094,13.006229). Älteste Kirche von Torgau. Heute evangelische Hauptkirche der Stadt. Ersterwähnung eines Vorgängerbaues 1119. Heutiger Bau gotische Hallenkirche. Chor um 1390 begonnen. Langhaus 1. Hälfte 15. Jahrhundert, vollendet Anfang 16. Jahrhundert. Kreuzrippengewölbe, Langchor mit Zellengewölbe. Hochaltar 1694-1698 von G. Simonetti, Gemälde von J. H. Sperling aus Halle. Kanzel 1582 von G. Wittenberger.
