Deutsch: 25.01.2008 01309 Dresden-Blasewitz: Villa Schmitz, Goetheallee 18 (GMP: 51.057301,13.794697). 1902 vom Architekten Karl Emil Scherz im englischen Landhausstil für den Fabrikanten und Kunstsammler Oscar Schmitz (Cousin von Adolf Rothermund), erbaut, der hier bis 1931 wohnte. Schmitz, der auf einem Auge blind war, hatte die Hauptwerke von Monet, Manet, Renoir, Degas, Cezanne und Van Gogh in seiner Dresdner Sammlung. 1931 zog Schmitz mit seiner Sammlung nach Zürich. Bis 1945 war im Gebäude ein NS-Schwesternheim. Nach 1945 Bürohaus, ab 1988 Sitz der Dresden International School (DIS). Seit 2008 als Kindereinrichtung genutzt.
