Deutsch: 26.10.2006 01309 Dresden-Striesen, Krenkelstraße 8 (GMP: 51.044053,13.774908):

Mietshaus in geschlossener Blockrandbebauung aus der Zeit um 1905-1910. Hauseingang mit außerordentlich gelungener Ausmalung des schmalen, gewölbten Hausflurs. Sie ist ein herausragendes Beispiel für die flächige, dekorative Richtung des Jugendstils. Das Haus gehörte dem Dekorationsmaler Otto Richard May, der im Parterre wohnte, weshalb anzunehmen ist, dass May die Ausmalung selbst ausgeführt hat. Die Wandflächen zeigen Allegorien der Künste, hier die Baukunst.
