Description
Deutsch: 08.03.2006 01326 Dresden-Pillnitz: Schloß und Park Pillnitz. Blick von Osten zum Kamelienhaus (GMP: 51.011763,13.869611). Die berühmte Kamelie kam um 1780 als Geschenk nach Pillnitz und ist seitdem zu einem riesigen Blumenbaum herangewachsen. Sie konnte so groß werden, weil sie in den kalten Wintermonaten von einem beheizbaren Schutzhaus umhüllt ist. 1992 wurde ein fahrbares Schutzhaus installiert, das in der warmen Jahreszeit beiseite gerollt wird.
