Description

The BA Fairlane was built from July 2003-October 2005. The BA Fairlane was based on the Australian designed and built BA Falcon sedan. The BA was a major update on the AU, all panels were changed except the doors, interior new as well. All sedans now got independent rear suspension. The Fairlane was built on the longer wagon platform, the front and centre remained the same but got a longer tail, the rear seat moved back for more leg room. Models available; base model was the Fairlane Ghia, the sporty G220 and the flagship LTD. The G220 (220kw) was the sports model, replacing the Fairlane Sportsman. Mechanically not a lot different. Unique G220 items include sports-look black-out front headlights, red leather seats called redline and brushed aluminium-look trim rather than the woodgrain offered by the other two.
