Description
Deutsch: 09.06.2004 01309 Dresden-Striesen, Augsburger Straße / Ecke Ermelstraße: Märchenbrunnen (GMP: 51.046294,13.798461) im Hermann-Seidel-Park. Jugendstil. Den Märchenbrunnen aus Granit mit Kupfer hat Bruno Hietzig, Besitzer der Granitwerke Kunath in Demitz-Thumitz, 1903 für die Deutsche Städtebauausstellung an der Lingnerallee gestiftet. Am Entwurf des Architektenbüros Schilling & Gräbner im Reformstil wirkte vermutlich Hietzigs Gattin Paula mit. Das Motiv erinnert an Grimms "Brüderchen und Schwesterchen". 1930 kam er an den heutigen Standort. Der Striesener Park von 1877 ist nach seinem Stifter benannt. Herrmann Seidel, Spross einer Dresdner Hofgärtnerdynastie, deren Erbe bis heute in Zuschendorf und Grüngräbchen weiterlebt, bezeichnete Striesen als seine Heimat und hat in diesem Park seine berühmten winterharten Rhododendren gezogen, die unter den schattigen Kiefern ideale Bedingungen vorfanden. Seit 1921 öffentlich und nach 1990 restauriert, enthält die Grünanlage seltene Gehölze, Wege sowie Plätze für Spiel, Sport und Begegnung. [DSCN3746.TIF]20040609270DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
