Description
Deutsch: 08.07.2003 17033 Neubrandenburg: Wiekhaus (GMP: 53.555208,13.265543) in der 4.Ringstraße 45. Im Verbund mit der mittelalterlichen Stadtbefestigung aus dem 13. Jahrundert waren auch 57 steinerne Wiekhäuser gebaut worden. Nachdem die Stadtbefestiung ihre Bedeutung verloren hatte, fand seit dem 17. Jahrhundert ein Umbau zu Fachwerk-Wohnhäusern statt. Ab Ende des 19. Jahrunderts wurden viele abgerissen. Seit den 1970er Jahren entstanden 25 neue Wiekhäuser der 3. Generation, oft etwas zu groß, aber an alten Standorten.
