Deutsch: 01.07.2003 16831 Rheinsberg/Mark: Der Rheinsberger Obelisk (GMP: 53.099149,12.880461) ist ein Heldendenkmal. Er ehrt den zweiten Sohn des Soldatenkönigs und 28 Teilnehmer am Siebenjährigen Krieg. Der Obelisk steht auf einem Hügel am Grienericksee gegenüber vom Schloß Rheinsberg. Heinrich von Preußen ließ ihn Anfang der 1790er Jahre von Bounmann zu Ehren seines Bruders August Wilhelm von Preußen. Die Vorderfront trägt ein Reliefporträt des Prinzen und die Inschrift: À L'ÉTERNELLE MÉMOIRE D'AUGUSTE WILHELM PRINCE DE PRUSSE, SECOND FILS DU ROI FRÉDÉRIC GUILLAUME. Sicht von Südosten.
