Deutsch: 10.06.2003: 01662 Meißen: Burgberg von Westen. König Heinrich I. gründete die Burg 929 nach der Eroberung des slawischen Landes. Der Burgberg war jahrhundertelang Sitz der Markgrafen von Meißen, der Burggrafen und Bischöfe und damit Zentrum der Mark Meißen. Links die heutige Albrechtsburg (GMP: 51.166719,13.471404), eigentlich ein Schloß, spätgotisch 1471-1485 von Arnold von Westfalen. 1710 bis 1864 war sie auch Sitz der Porzel-lanmanufaktur. Der Dom St. Johannis evangelistae und St. Donati, frühgotisch nach 1240 begonnen, hat eine lange Baugeschichte. 1400 Westportal, 1443-1446 eingewölbt.
