Der Circus Putbus gilt als der letzte einheitlich ausgeführte Rondellplatz in Deutschland, den Fürst Wilhelm Malte I. im Zusammenhang mit der Gründung des Pädagogiums nach dem Vorbild des "Circus" im englischen Badeort Bath und französischer Anlagen ab 1828 unter Mitwirkung der Architekten W.
