Description
Deutsch: 07.06.2002 18556 Putgarten (Insel Rügen), Kap Arkona: Blick zum 1927 erbauten Peilturm der Kriegsmarine (GMP: 54.677448,13.435700). Dahinter die Wälle der slawischen Jaromarsburg (GMP: 54.677069,13.436311). Bei Kreideabbrüchen sind auch Teile der slawischen Wallanlage in die Ostsee gestürzt. Die Anlage ist der Rest einer legendären Tempelburg und Kultstätte der Ranen, die hier zwischen dem 6. und 12. Jahrhundert dem Gott Swantevit huldigten. Im Gelände steht eine neuere Holzplastik, die den viergesichtigen slawischen Gott "Svantevit" (auch Swantevit) darstellt. [F20060606A16.jpg]20020607600AR.JPG(c)Blobelt
