Description
English: South of Chemnitz where two branches converged here at Stollberg was visited on 20 January 1994 during another winter trip. At the time single cabbed class 202s (and 201, 204s) were the regular motive power on so many of these trains. Seen here steam heating its train of two coaches is 202 452-9 on train 5926, 14:49 Stollberg (Sachs) to St Egidien. Operation of both branches nowadays is in the hands of City Bahn Chemnitz. The line from Chemnitz to here, Stollberg, is now an electrified tramway operation. Regioshuttle units now operate on the line from Stollberg to St Egiden.
