English: U.S. Army Spc. Cayden Battles, an M1 armor crewman assigned to Alpha “Aces” Company, 2nd Squadron, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, participates in a game of bocce ball to celebrate Croatian Armed Forces Day at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, May 28, 2024. U.S. soldiers participated in the Croatian Armed Forces Day events to build relations with NATO allies and to gain a better cultural understanding. The 1st Cavalry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward-deployed corps in Europe.
