[edit]Description1RAR platoon crosses a bridge over the Imjin River.jpg |
English: An Australian platoon of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), crosses a bridge spanning the Imjin River near the Korean truce line. The Australian camp is on the banks of the river, which was the scene of much bitter fighting during the Korean War. The soldiers are competing against other Commonwealth units in an endurance march across ten miles of rugged country. They later came in second to the winning platoon from the 1st Battalion, The Dorset Regiment. |
