Description
English: The 150th post box to join the Colne Valley Postal Museum collection ( www.cvphm.org.uk ) is this delightful Edward 7th small wall box featuring the 1960 "Modified Aperture" that enlarged the posting slot from 6" to nearly 10". It is reputed to be from the Ipswich area, but has had to accept a plastic collection plate from Chapel-en-le-Frith as none of our spare enamel plates will fit the Modified Aperture boxes - there is not enough clearance to insert an iron plate! CO9
