1ADA81 button and loop fastener
Description
English: Iron age or Romano British copper alloy fastener, 40mm long, 21mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 7.15 grams. The object represents the loop portion and is roughly triangular in shape. It has a triangular opening 16mm long and 11mm wide, surrounded by a frame with a square section. Below this the object consists of a shaft 20mm long, that narrows gently. It has snapped off at the end, leaving a small circular bump where the button would have been attached.
