Description
Deutsch: 18.07.1986 DDR 3504 [39590] Tangermünde: St. Stephan (GMP: 52.542600,11.975040) ist eine spätgotische Backsteinkirche mit älteren Teilen. An der Stelle der heutigen Kirche stand als Vorgängerbau eine romanische Backsteinbasilika mit Lang- und Querhaus, einem Chor, einer Hauptapsis und zwei Nebenapsiden. Dieses Gebäude bestand bereits vor 1188. Der heutige Bau wurde 1376 auf älterer Grundlage begonnen. 1617 nach Brand erneuert. 1844 restauriert. Dieses Bauwerk wird zu den herausragenden Denkmalen europäischen Ranges in diesem Baustil gezählt. Westportal. [F19860525D29.jpg]19860718150NR.JPG(c)Blobelt
