Description 1981 Ford F-100 ambulance. This imported Ford F-100 cab chassis was fitted with a fibreglass ambulance body by JAKAB in Tamworth NSW. It is typical of ambulances used by the NSWAS throughout the 1980's and 1990's. This former New South Wales Ambulance Service car was one of several refitted by my father and I for use in the 1994 Australian movie "Spider and Rose" starring Ruth Cracknell and Max Cullen. This car was used as a background vehicle and was loaned to the movie company. Dad's car yard used to sell retired ambulances and we used to supply them for TV, movies and ads when NSWAS wouldn't. Scanned from a print.
