Summary
[edit]| Description |
Atlantis. The HZ Holden was built from October 1977-April 1980. The final facelift on the old HQ body was the HZ, only minor cosmetic updates, it got the egg crate grille and thicker side protection strips. The main addition was the new Radial Tuned Suspension (RTS) it greatly improved the Holdens handling. The base model sedan was now the Kingswood, mid spec Kingswood SL and top was the Premier Also available was the longer bodied Statesman, Wagon, Panel Van and Utility. The sporty GTS Monaro was available again, now only a 4 door sedan, it got the 161hp 253 V8 (optional 216hp 308), manual trans, 4 wheel disc brakes, sports wheels, side guard vents, spoilers were now standard and now had the quad headlight front. Inside was full instrumentation, sports steering wheel and bucket seats. |
