Similar styling to the BMC Mini and 1100 with front wheel drive and east/west engine, it was nick named 'the Land Crab' Badge engineered versions were the Morris 1800 and Wolseley 18-85. The Mk I was built from 1964, Mk II from 1968 got a revised grille losing the horizontal centre bar and also the horizontal tail lights replaced by vertical ones and finally the Mk III from 1972-75, another new grille and 6 cylinder versions were available, the Austin or Morris 2200 and the Wolseley Six.
