Deutsch: 13.11.1971 DDR 7290 [04860] Torgau, Wintergrüne: Stadtkirche St. Marien (GMP: 51.560094,13.006229). Älteste Kirche von Torgau. Heute evangelische Hauptkirche der Stadt. Ersterwähnung eines Vorgängerbaues 1119. Heutiger Bau gotische Hallenkirche. Chor um 1390 begonnen. Langhaus 1. Hälfte 15. Jahrhundert, vollendet Anfang 16. Jahrhundert. Kreuzrippengewölbe, Lanchor mit Zellengewölbe. Westportal Anfang 16. Jahrhundert, Maßwerkrose vermutlich 1. Hälfte 15. Jahrhundert. In der Kirche ist die Grabstätte der am 20.12.1552 verstorbenen Katharina von Bora (Luthers Frau).
