中文：連瑪玉自從1957年蘭大衛在紅丘鎮住家附近因為重型機車車禍而安息後，即自己居住，蘭大弼休假返英時會去陪伴她。經過蘭大弼安排，連瑪玉也曾數度返回台灣探望教會及老友。這張照片是1970年代初，連瑪玉再次返回彰化探視老友，在蘭醫生樓前與蘭大弼、高仁愛、孫子 Donald John Landsborough（哥哥，後排中）、David Landsborough（弟弟，大衛五世，後排右），及孫女 Katharine Landsborough的全家福。 這張照片極具意義，因為蘭大弼重返彰化擔任醫療宣教師，與母親不常見面，若蘭大弼與高仁愛返英休假兒女卻因上學而不在身旁，當連瑪玉返回台灣探視朋友，孫子已經返回英國念中學或大學，全家三代甚難全員到齊。難得的是這張照片是在老蘭醫生樓前面的廣場拍照，連瑪玉已經接近九十歲，蘭大弼將近六十歲，更具特別的意義。 |
