Description

Sapphire Blue. The Shelby Mustang was a high performance version of the Ford Mustang which were built by Shelby America from 1965-1970. Engine; all 1965-66 Shelby Mustangs had the 306 bhp K Code 289 V8 with high riser manifold. The 1966 car was tamed a bit and could now be ordered with an automatic transmission, they now had a back seat, and featured plexiglass rear quarter windows (louvres in 65) and brake scoops in the rear quarters, available now in 4 colours (only white with blue stripes in 1965), they got the same stripes and bonnet scoop as the 65 car. Most were Fastbacks, but 6 Convertibles were built. An option that was also available in 1966 was the Paxton centrifugal supercharger option, lifting power to 400hp. Engine; 306 bhp K code 289 V8
