Description

The Buick Motor Company was formed in 1903, it was General Motors' upmarket car, second only to Cadillac. The 117 inch wheelbase Riviera 2 door Hardtop personal luxury car was introduced in 1963. Powered by either the 401 or 425 Nailhead V8. The facelift in 1965 saw the headlamps concealed behind clamshell doors in the leading edges of each fender and the taillights were moved from the body into the rear bumper. Also new for 1965 was the availability of the Gran Sport option, which included the dual-quad Super Wildcat 425 V8 and stiffer, heavy-duty suspension. Also available in 1965, the 115 inch wheelbase Special, 155hp 225 V6, available in base or Deluxe, in 2 door Coupe, Convertible, 4 door Sedan and Wagon. The 115 inch wheelbase Skylark, 225 V6 or 300 V8, in 2 door Hardtop, Convertible, 4 door Sedan or Wagon. The 123 inch wheelbase LeSabre and LeSabre Custom, 250hp 300 cu in, was available in 4 door Sedan, 2 or 4 door Hardtop and Convertible.

The 126 inch wheelbase top of the line Electra 225, 225 Custom and Wildcat, 324hp 401 cu in or 340hp 425 cu in, available in Convertible, 2 or 4 door Hardtop and Sedan.
