All sheetmetal, except the doors, was changed again in 1962, a more conservative looking car. The Sedans and 2 door Sport Coupe got a convertible roof style roofline whereas the 2 door Hardtop Coupe still had the bubble back Roofline. Base model was still the Biscayne, mid spec: Bel Air and top the Impala, again with white band along the rear fender and triple round tail lights (double on Biscayne and Bel Air). Super Sport option. Chevrolets were also produced in Australia from 1926-68, built by General Motors Holden using modified American bodies. In 1962, only the 4 door Chevrolet sedan was sold there, along side the 4 door Pontiac Laurentian Sedan 1962 Australian Chev Belair engine; 283 V8 |
