Description

The XK Falcon was built from Sept 1960- Aug 1962. The First Australian Falcon the XK, featuring a concave grille was basically a right hand version of the American car with adjustments to the suspension and diff. The XK proved to be a little fragile for Australian roads, warranty claims were so costly for Ford that the Aussie Falcon was nearly canned. But with the support of Ford U.S. , the car survived. 4 door sedans and 4 door station wagons were available in Standard or upmarket Deluxe, the Deluxe had the chrome side trim and better interior Standard Utility and Panel Vans were added in 1961. Engines; 90hp 144 cu in 6 cyl and 101hp 170 cu in 6cyl
