EARLY IN 1942 BOBANARO WAS USED AS FORCE HEADQUARTERS AND COMPANY HEADQUARTERS OF THE 2/2ND INDEPENDENT COMPANY UNTIL IT WAS FINALLY EVACUATED DURING THE JAPANESE DRIVES OF AUGUST 1942.
