| Description |
The 1941 Cadillacs got a new look, a flatter eggcrate grille with a central bulge carried down from the hood. Taillights were also more prominent, and a concealed gas filler. For 1942 the lineup was mostly the same, the shape even more streamlined, the eggcrate was larger in the grille, the fenders were shaped more like a bullet front and rear extending well into the doors. There was also bullet-shaped front bumper extensions which were later given the nickname 'Dagmars Models available for 1942 were; the entry level 126in wheelbase Series 61 and 129in wheelbase Series 62, both available in 4 door sedan and 2 door coupe or convertible Also available, the upmarket 60 Special 4 door Sedan and the Series 75 4 door Limousine Engine; 346 cu in Monobloc V8 |
