Description

One of the last coachbuilt American cars, this 1941 Lincoln Continental was bought by industrial designer Raymond Loewy, who had it rebodied by coachbuilder Derham with a Town Car half-top.

The webbed fin on the trunk, which extended to a blade on the rear bumper, slightly predicted the twin fins that would appear on Cadillacs later in the decade.
