Description

New Zealand. The Vauxhall 14-6 was produced in the United Kingdom from 1933-48. Changes were mainly cosmetic, there were steel spoke wheels and a curved radiator grille. A new unitary chassis was introduced in 1938, these post-war models can be distinguished by bonnet louvres and a grille update. The 14-6 was available as a 4 door 6 light saloon with sliding roof or a 2 door coupé with sliding roof. Separate coach builders also built Tourers. Vauxhalls, along with many other brands, were also produced in Australia by Holden Motor Body Builders from 1927-31 (and from then became General Motors Holden) Local bodies were built on an imported chassis. Sedans, Coupes, Tourers and Roadsters were produced there in 1937. Differences included hinging of the doors, the shape of the windsceen and roof
