Summary
[edit]Description1929 Rolls-Royce Springfield Phantom I Derby Tourer by Brewster, front right.jpg |
English: A 1929 Rolls-Royce Springfield Phantom I Derby Tourer by Brewster in Ivory over Red, about to head out from the 2021 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. This car used to belong to silent movie star Clara Bow, who received it as an engagement gift. While the car was built during model year 1929, it was delivered about 18 months later as the Depression hit luxury car sales hard. Bow sold it to the head of IBM in the 1950s, after which it ended up at the Owls Head Transportation Museum in Owls Head (Rockland), Maine. There it has remained since 1980. |
