Description
English: Curious Allentonians stand behind the fence surrounding the foundation being dug for the PP&L Building on November 4th, 1926. Hagman Harris Company of New York City was the general contractor determined that the 48 concrete caissons needed to be dunk 125 feet into the ground to find suitible anchorage. Bedrock was found at an average depth of 78 feet.
