Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This colorized photo postcard shows the old wooden grandstand and the horse racing track (1/2 mile) at the Allentown Fairgrounds about 1900. The wooden grandstand dated to the 1870s when the fairgrounds was established at its current location. It was replaced in 1908 by the current brick, concrete and steel one that remains today. The open stands next to the covered area is where the Fairgrounds Farmer's Market is today.
